I love sushi, but this dish is just a little to “fresh” for my taste…more like ALIVE! This is called Sannakji, a Korean delicacy: a freshly killed octopus seasoned with sesame oil and served for your enjoyment. It is sliced up, but the tentacles still move and the suction cups stick to the inside of your mouth on the way down.
This effect is multiplied when salty liquid such as soy sauce is poured over the squid. interestingly enough, if you leave the head (but not the mantle) of the squid on, and post the video, ignorant viewers begin to whine about animal rights and get confused about the mortality of said squid
How about eat live shrimps!
